The world’s governing body for motorsport, the Fédération Internationale de l’Automobile (FIA), confirmed that Jakarta will host the inaugural 2026 FIA Rallycross World Cup on the 5th and 6th of December, 2026.

The FIA Rallycross World Cup in Jakarta at the end of this year reinforces the FIA’s ambition to expand motorsport and reach new audiences. The event will feature racing action in the classic rallycross format. In the top class, drivers will compete with Euro RX1 engines, ICE engines, or internal combustion engines.

It should also be noted that the concept of the FIA Rallycross World Cup will differ slightly from the World Rally Championship (WRC). While the WRC pits drivers against each other over several stages, the FIA Rallycross World Cup will have them compete on a circuit with a combination of asphalt and dirt tracks.

The FIA Rallycross World Cup in Jakarta will take place at the Jakarta International E-Prix Circuit, located in Ancol, North Jakarta. The circuit will undergo a rallycross transformation, incorporating a mixed-use surface layout designed to provide drivers with challenging conditions and close racing.

“Across our FIA Championships, World Cup events have proven their ability to deliver accessible, standalone competitions with strong global appeal. The new FIA Rallycross World Cup will provide fans with a unique opportunity to experience the discipline on the world stage in 2026, bringing together leading drivers from regions around the world,” said FIA President Mohammed Ben Sulayem in a statement published on Tuesday, 10th March, on the official website of the FIA Rallycross World Cup.

Additionally, the 2026 FIA Rallycross World Cup will be held in collaboration with SARGA.CO, an Indonesian sports and entertainment ecosystem company. The race will also be available to watch live and free on the official FIA Rallycross YouTube channel.

“Hosting the first FIA Rallycross World Cup event in Jakarta is a significant step forward for Indonesia’s sport and entertainment landscape. We are proud to introduce an exciting new experience for fans across the nation through this event,” added Aseanto Oudang, the Co-Founder & CEO of SARGA.CO.
