The St. Regis Jakarta proudly presents an exclusive chef collaboration with the esteemed Chef Jung Chanhyuk of Jung Chan Dining from the 8th to the 11th of August 2024, at J.J.A. Restaurant. This distinguished partnership will infuse the royal essence of Indonesia’s Korean fine dining into the vibrant heart of Jakarta.
Jung Chan Dining in Bandung graciously showcases Chef Jung Chanhyuk’s exceptional culinary prowess and rich heritage from Jindo, Korea. Chef Jung meticulously selects and expertly ferments each ingredient, crafting an elevated and deeply personal gastronomic experience. An esteemed graduate of Le Cordon Bleu Australia, Chef Jung achieved significant recognition as a top 11 contestant on MasterChef Korea Season 4.
Chef Jung chose the enchanting city of Bandung as the home for his restaurant in 2022, drawn by its cool climate, breathtaking scenery, and ideal fermentation conditions that mirror Korea’s vibrant spring and autumn seasons. At Jung Chan Dining, he delivers an unforgettable culinary journey that pays homage to his rich heritage. Each dish, lovingly crafted, tells a story—melding traditional flavours and techniques into stunning masterpieces, presented with an artistry that delights both the eyes and the palate.
Representing The St. Regis Jakarta, Chef Oscar Perez, Director of Culinary, and Chef Kevin Lee, Executive Pastry Chef, will collaborate with Chef Jung for an extraordinary six-hand dinner. This unique collaboration will incorporate the restaurant’s premium ingredients into a meticulously designed 15-course menu. Each course will feature the highest quality ingredients and showcase the exceptional culinary artistry of these talented chefs. Guests will be transported to a realm of culinary delight, embarking on a captivating journey that blends tradition and innovation most remarkably.
This event will celebrate the authentic flavours of Korea with the finest dishes, presented with inspiring and masterful touches, leaving diners yearning for more.
The collaborative event will accommodate a maximum of 40 guests per night, ensuring an intimate and exclusive experience with this six-hand dinner. The exquisite twelve-course set menu of fifteen items will be available starting from Rp2,200,000++ per person. Additionally, an artisanal alcohol pairing can be added to enhance the Jung Chan Dining experience, available at an additional Rp750,000++ per person.
