Malaysia King and Queen to Visit Jakarta and Yogyakarta

Malaysian King Sultan Abdullah Al-Mustafa Billah Shah Ibni Almarhum Sultan Haji Ahmad Shah Al-Musta’in Billah and his wife, Queen Tunku Hajah Azizah Aminah Maimunah Iskandariah Binti Almarhum Al-Mutawakkil Alallah Sultan Iskandar Al-Haj, are scheduled to make an official visit to Indonesia from 26 – 29th August.

The Foreign Ministry of Malaysia has confirmed that king and his wife will attend a state banquet hosted by President Joko Widodo at Bogor Palace. The king’s entourage will include Malaysia’s Economic Minister Dato’ Seri Mohamed Azmin bin Ali, as well as officials from the Foreign Ministry, the State Palace, and the Prime Minister’s Office.

During the four-day visit, the king and queen will attend a dinner reception with Malaysians in Indonesia and visit the Istiqlal Mosque in Jakarta. They will also travel to Yogyakarta and visit Governor of the Yogyakarta Special Province, Sri Sultan Hamengkubuwono X.

The monarch’s official visit will celebrate bilateral ties and mark the bond shared between the two neoghbouring countries for 62 years ago.
