Located at Titik Dua Ubud, COCA Ubud celebrated its Grand Opening on the 30th of October 2026 with a programme honouring Garin Nugroho’s 45-year artistic journey, bringing the creative house to life through four experiences: Listen, Watch, Eat and Explore.
COCA Ubud brings together COCA Selekta, COCA Theatre, COCA Dining, and COCA Art Space within one setting. More than just a collection of venues, COCA offers a space to enjoy music, discover independent films, share meals, appreciate art and connect through cultural experiences.
The arrival of COCA marks a new chapter for Titik Dua, bringing two complementary experiences together in one destination. Titik Dua remains a space for rest and reflection, while COCA introduces a more dynamic atmosphere through creative programming, collaborations and community activities.
“COCA has evolved from the spaces, programmes and relationships we have built at Titik Dua. As the wider property continues to develop, we wanted to offer two complementary experiences: Titik Dua as a space for rest and reflection, and COCA as a more active space for cultural exploration and connection. Through music, film, dining and art, we hope to offer a different way to experience the same place while continuing to develop COCA’s identity as Ubud’s Creative House,” said Fonny Makatita, General Manager of Titik Dua.

From Social Space to Creative House
COCA began as a bar and social space at Titik Dua. As the hotel evolved, the initiative grew into part of Titik Dua’s exploration of the creative hotel concept, where hospitality, art, culture, and community come together.
The journey began with COCA Selekta, a vinyl listening bar in Ubud built around the owner’s personal record collection and a collaboration with music curator Munir. Through curated music selections, in-house selectors and guest selectors, the space brings Indonesian music into conversation with sounds from around the world.
COCA’s development continued with the transformation of the former Barwa Gallery in collaboration with architect Andra Matin. Through an adaptive reuse approach, the building’s original character, including its old brick walls, was preserved while contemporary elements were introduced.
A collaboration with BYO Living also brought a woven rattan installation to the mezzanine of COCA Dining. Inspired by the creative dialogue of Elevation at the 2018 Venice Architecture Biennale, the installation was reinterpreted through the philosophy of Tri Hita Karana.
Programmes developed at Titik Dua have also helped shape COCA’s identity. COCA Theatre presents independent film screenings and audiovisual experiences, while COCA Art Space provides a platform for exhibitions and artistic collaborations. Completing the experience, COCA Dining serves Peranakan cuisine throughout the day, with an approach centred on the pleasure of dining and sharing food.

Four Ways to Experience COCA
LISTEN — COCA Selekta
As a vinyl listening bar in Ubud, COCA Selekta offers an intimate setting featuring a collection of more than 1,000 vinyl records, curated music selections, and both in-house and guest selectors. Visitors are invited to discover new music and enjoy the moment at their own pace.
WATCH — COCA Theatre
Positioned as Bali’s first independent cinema equipped with laser projection technology, COCA Theatre presents independent film screenings, live performances and audiovisual experiences. As the home of Ubud: Cinecurious, the space offers opportunities to experience films and meet their makers beyond the commercial cinema circuit.
EAT — COCA Dining
COCA Dining serves Peranakan cuisine throughout the day, inspired by Asia’s rich culinary heritage and traditions of communal dining. With a relaxed and open atmosphere, the space welcomes local residents, travellers, and hotel guests alike.
EXPLORE — COCA Art Space
COCA Art Space is a contemporary art venue for exhibitions, installations, and creative collaborations. Building on Titik Dua’s exhibition programme, the space invites visitors to discover a diverse range of artistic works and perspectives.
These four experiences are interconnected, allowing visitors to enjoy a meal while viewing an exhibition, attend a music session before watching a film, or return to discover another side of COCA.
