Seabird Brings Mediterranean Flavours to Canggu's Coastal Dining Scene

Canggu moves at its own pace, shaped by morning surf runs, long coffee breaks, and evenings that start slowly and stretch on. Seabird sits right in the middle of that rhythm, a coastal bistro built for people who want to eat well without turning it into an occasion.

The space keeps things modern and uncluttered, with soft tropical touches and plenty of room to settle in. It works just as well for a solo laptop session as it does for a table of friends, which is part of why it has become a regular stop among dining places in Canggu.

As a Mediterranean restaurant Canggu locals return to throughout the week, Seabird stays open from breakfast through to dinner. The kitchen carries you from one part of the day to the next without ever feeling like the same meal twice.

Seabird

Southern Europe, Served Simply

The menu draws on Italian comfort and French flair, translated for the tropics with fresh produce and honest cooking. Nothing is overworked, and the flavours stay familiar enough to order without thinking twice.

The Black Angus Rib Eye is the plate to build a dinner around, a 180-gram MB4 cut finished with entrecote sauce, café de Paris butter, and shoestring fries. Elsewhere, the kitchen moves easily between Chicken Parmigiana under red cheddar sauce, Fettuccine Crab Crumble in a carbonara base, Seabass Two Ways with muhammara and herb bearnaise, and the Honey Stracciatella flatbread, proof that a menu can be generous without ever trying too hard.

Glasses Made for the Coast

The signature cocktails follow the coastline. Ocean Mist pairs vodka with blue curaçao and lychee, Forest Harmony leans darker with rum, banana, coconut, and coffee, while Sunset in Paradise brings gin together with banana vermouth.

The classics are all there too, from Negroni to Aperol Spritz, alongside a wine list that runs across red, white, rosé, and sparkling.

For those skipping the alcohol, seven signature mocktails are made with the same care as the cocktails. Pandan Coast Fizz, Cucumber Refresher, and Ubud Cooler sit beside fresh juices, iced teas, milkshakes, and a full coffee menu.

More Than a Table

Seabird also runs a Cocktail and Mocktail Class for guests who want to spend an afternoon behind the bar rather than in front of it. It is a hands-on session that ends with drinks you made yourself.

There is a Balinese Cooking Class as well, covering dishes like sate lilit, tum ayam, and jaje dadar gulung pandan. Private events can be arranged for anyone wanting the space to themselves.
