The Apurva Kempinski Bali, newly opened in February 1, 2019, is indeed an epitome of beachfront luxury.

It is undeniably a place on your to-go-list when you happen to be in Nusa Dua. Situated gracefully on the top of the cliff with enchanting views of the Indian Ocean and tropical garden, it consummates the gracious embodiment of Indonesia in the architecture it offers.

Houba Wagyu at Kempinski Bali

Along with the opening, this five-star resort proudly presented Izakaya by OKU, their signature Japanese restaurant. Inspired by the award-winning OKU restaurant at Hotel Indonesia Kempinski Jakarta, Izakaya by OKU highlights a dynamic experience with an open-kitchen dining concept, where guests and chefs are able to interact, an addition to the fun and enjoyable atmosphere.

Beautifully themed an earth-coloured tone, wooden interiors and subdued lighting, the restaurant accommodates up to 60 seats.

Botarga Karasumi Pasta at Kempinski Bali

The leading chef whose more than 15 years’ experience, Chef Deni Koswara, brings the uniqueness of Japanese gastronomy into the creative menu with its exceptional cooking methods and ingredients. Their most favourite menu, OKU Karaage, is absolutely a dish-not-to-miss. Taking an inspiration by Japanese traditional garden, the mind-blowing black karaage is crispy on the outside but melting in the inside, along with the teriyaki sauce and chicken thigh. Next are OKU Aburi Salmon Roll, a Tasmanian salmon and mayo, salmon roe and lumpfish caviar; Karasumi Pasta, a bottarga with angel hair pasta, and ikura; Chicken Teriyaki, an organic chicken thigh with teriyaki sauce, onion dressing, and baby romaine lettuce; Houba Wagyu, a 150gr Australian wagyu stockyard M9+ with black garlic sauce, served with yakimeshi; and Tempura Udon, an Inaniwa noodles with prawn tempura, seasonal vegetables, dashi broth and sesame. All enticing six courses are paired with an extensive range of different Japanese sake and shochu, which creates an unforgettable dining experience.
